Our Therapy
Psychotherapy
We can provide traditional psychotherapy (counselling) for a variety of issues such as depression and anxiety.
Psychotherapy is commonly referred to as 'talk therapy' where we provide support and strategies to assist you to overcome the situation that is causing distress.
Neurofeedback
In neurofeedback we use non-invasive advanced computerised medical technology to conduct an EEG assessment to measure brainwaves in certain parts of the brain.
Through this process we can identify the brainwaves that are causing dysregulation (i.e. causing the behavioural issues, lack of concentration, migraines, sleep issues, depression or anxiety) – and we can then train the brain to reset these brainwaves.
Remote Neurofeedback
Additional Information
If you're not on the Sunshine Coast, or would just prefer to train in your own home in your own time, you can still benefit from neurofeedback. This training method is ideal for for comfort, ease and session frequency. We utilise the Muse EEG headband and advanced cloud based software to create and monitor your training. PTSD and Anxiety
At the end of June 2019 I was involved in a workplace fatality that deeply affected me. By Christmas 2019 I found myself at home, off work and being treated for PTSD. While psychiatric and psychological professionals have been a great help, it was not until I was introduced to Donna and started neurofeedback that I really started to make progress. Simply understanding what was wrong and most importantly being able to track progress in a tangible way has done more in a few sessions than 6 months of psychologists and antidepressants have. Very shortly after starting neurofeedback my sleep improved, anxiety and tension began to melt away and I am now beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a little way to go yet, but without Donna's expertise, and professionalism, the road would be a lot longer. For me neurofeedback has been the most effective non pharmaceutical treatment possible.
